Christmas is fast approaching....

Only 4 days until Christmas!!! I am ready to get it started as it's a long spread out time for us.. We will start our Christmas Friday with family and end Christmas night.. The last few weeks have kept be very busy with Christmas shopping, wrapping, decorating, kids schools, etc etc etc... Friday will be the beginning of Christmas break and I am more than ready.. I am baked out, shopped out and just plain exhausted.. It doesn't help that I have been battling the end of a cold, it seems this congestion cough will never let up... However, I am still going! LOL

Anyways, I wanted to share with whom ever decides to stop by my blog... I created an ornament for the Cookie cutter ornament swap I joined in... This was fun, and my first time crafting with a cookie cutter... I decided to go with the house cookie cutter... I will admit I got a bit foggy with ideas, but it finally came to me... So here is what I came up with....

I cut my house shape out of cardboard, then decorated with the Christmas tree, and door, and then added some snow.. I take Styrofoam balls and rub them together to make my snow... I added the snowflake, then finished it up with the ribbon and cinnamon stick..
I am looking forward to getting crafty again after the Holiday is past us, we have some awesome swaps for the upcoming year!
thanks for stopping by, its truly appreciated! Merry Christmas and May you all have a blessed New Year!

Snowmen!

I've created several snowmen for our group Christmas exchange... I used a snowman cut file from my stash..., including his little hat.. I used glitter cardstock for the snowman and shiny black cardstock for his hat... Then using a hole puncher I punched out his buttons and eyes from black foam paper.. His scarf is Christmas Ribbon from my ribbon stash..
Isn't he cute?
I added some twine to the back, so it can hang on a Christmas tree or anything my partner desires...Here are all of my snowmen completed and ready to be mailed...
I am so enjoying receiving all the different snowmen... This was a fun exchange...

Christmas is approaching...

With that being said, it is coming at us fairly quickly, I feel! I have not bought a single Christmas gift one.. It is rushing at me full force and I am trailing!!!
However I joined in a Christmas card (unique fold) swap, in a group I am in, Our Creative Corner. If you are looking for a crafty group with monthly swaps, this is a great group!
I really like the idea of the staircase with the Z fold.
First I cut the card to size, which I found a tutorial online. I then created the staircase... I wanted to go with the cozy living room look..
I used my brother and print and cut out the garland for the staircase.. I then cut a Christmas tree and a window frame with a picture of a wintery outside. To finish it off I added the Merry Christmas to the front. I used some glossy accents on the garland to make it pop a bit....
Here is my Christmas card.........  I am really happy with how it turned out..
If you happened to come across my blog and visit, I want to say Thank-you!
Have a Blessed Day!

My Mini Wallet Album..

I really enjoyed working on this Christmas mini album... I used black craft tape to adhere the pages and make them accordion pages.  On the front, I displayed a beautiful Cardinal!

The accordion pages where decorated in different Christmas scenes, and some included pockets which included tags...

I also used my brother and cut out borders, and Christmas words to spruce up the pages.

I created this Cardinal snow globe Christmas ornament to add to a pocket in the back of the album for my swap partner to use on her Christmas tree!

This is the end of the pages in the album... I created a tag to include my swap/art information.. Also a Merry Christmas tag which is in a pocket.  When creating this album, I kept in mind that my swap partner could remove the tags, and include her own pictures if they would like. I wanted it to be fun!!

On the back, I added a brad, and used twine to adhere to the front to close the album.

So that is my Christmas mini wallet album... If you happened to stop by and visit, Thank-you so much!!

Blogging again......

I have decided to open my blog back up... I know I may not get many readers and visits, but mainly for me and my art to have a place. I had closed my blog due to just feeling like I was wasting time and energy posting and having no readers. However I feel like in time that may change and if not, well it may help in keeping my creativity going. I enjoy seeing all the creations throughout the blogs and even giving them a try at times, so I am ready to jump back in.. If you happen to stop by and visit, Thank-you and please know that if you leave me a comment, I will definitely make time to visit you back!!
**I will start sharing some past creations very soon**
